Our Vision, Mission, Aims and Values
All children and young people, aged 0-25, and their families are placed as the centre of the SEND system so that they can defend their rights and access an equal education to achieve their full potential.
The SEND Community Alliance is committed to bringing together families, young people with SEND, adults with disabilities, and SEND professionals to campaign to drive positive changes by amplifying our aims to government, local areas and political parties ensuring that the aims, spirit and legislation of the Children and Families Act 2014 finally become a reality for all children and young people.
1. Make accountability in SEND a reality
2. Ensure fair and adequate long-term funding for SEND
3. Pledge a commitment to inclusion
4. Commit to creating consistent support
5. Action on Post-16 support
6. Commit to giving families a voice
we welcome all those dedicated to the same aims as us
we are willing to listen to ideas and gain knowledge
we aren't doing this for ourselves, we're doing it for our children, and for your children
we shall remain independent whilst working with others
we want to work with others as we are stronger together
we are SEND parents standing up for, and alongside, our children and young people
